THE PROJECT

International Erasmus+ youth project with participation of 24 youngsters aged 14-18 led by their team leaders. The project took place in August/September in Hrádek, in the eastern part of the Czech Republic. Six partner organizations were involved in the project. The project was financially supported by a grant from the European Commission.

By implementing the project we wanted to give young people an opportunity to learn about other cultures, ways of life, traditions, feasts, national quisine in other countries, history, geography or everyday problems of young people, to get rid of prejudices and stereotypes, to become more aware of European values and to develop their key competences, extend their knowledge of cultures in the partner countries, and to be able to find similarities and differences between cultures. We wanted to allow them to foster their feelings of being Europeans, and develop their tolerance towards people coming from different background or cultures. We wanted to give young people an opportunity to develop their key competences essential for their future personal, educational or professional life. And we also wanted the participants to develop particularly the following key competences: communication and language, social, digital, and to increase their cultural awareness.
